ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY
What is Miao silver?
Miao silver refers to silver jewellery hand-forged in the
traditional style of the Miao people, an indigenous community
of southwest China. The craft has been passed down through
generations in the silversmithing villages of Guizhou Province
for over a thousand years.
What kind of silver do you use?
We use 999 fine silver (99.9% pure) for the main body of every
piece. Ear posts and findings are made from 925 sterling silver
for added strength. No plating, no filler — what you see is
what you wear.
Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?
999 fine silver is one of the gentlest metals on skin. It is
nickel-free and well tolerated by most people with sensitive
ears. If you have a known silver allergy, we recommend speaking
with a dermatologist before purchasing.
Will the silver tarnish?
All silver darkens slightly with time — this is natural and,
to us, beautiful. To restore the original shine, polish gently
with a soft cloth. See our Care Guide for details.
Are your pieces handmade?
Yes. Every piece is drawn, coiled, soldered, and finished by
hand by Miao silversmiths in Guizhou. No moulds. No machines.
A single pair of filigree earrings can take a full day to
complete.
Why are no two pieces identical?
Because each piece is shaped by hand. Small variations in
curve, weight, and finish are not flaws — they are the marks
of human work.

ABOUT YOUR ORDER
When will my order ship?
Most orders ship within 2 business days from our atelier in
Guizhou. Made-to-order pieces may take 1-3 weeks — this will
be noted on the product page.
How long will delivery take?
— United States: 7-12 business days
— Europe & UK: 7-12 business days
— Australia & New Zealand: 8-14 business days
— Japan & Korea: 4-7 business days
— Rest of Asia: 4-8 business days
— Rest of world: 10-20 business days

Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. We ship to most countries via DHL Express or equivalent
tracked services. If your country isn't appearing at checkout,
email us.
Will I have to pay duties or taxes?
For most orders under $150, no additional duties are charged.
For larger orders, your local customs office may charge an
import duty. We are unable to predict these charges as they
vary by country.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll receive a tracking number by email within 2
business days of placing your order.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Can I return my piece?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return any unworn piece.

Who covers return shipping?
We do. For most countries, we'll send you a prepaid return label.
What if my piece arrives damaged?
Send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll replace
it at no cost.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes. Same 30-day window. Email support@atelierazuree.com to
start an exchange.

CARE & WEAR
How do I clean my jewellery?
Polish gently with a soft cloth (we include one with every
order). Avoid silver dips, chemical cleaners, and toothpaste.
Can I wear it in the shower or pool?
We recommend taking your pieces off before showering, swimming,
or sleeping. Soap, chlorine, and friction shorten the life of
fine silver.
How should I store it?
In the linen pouch we provide, away from humidity and direct
sunlight. Avoid plastic bags — they trap moisture.
Will the colour change over time?
Yes, gently. Fine silver develops a soft patina with wear.
Most of our customers love the deepening character. If you
prefer the original bright finish, polishing brings it back.

Where are you based?
Our pieces are hand-forged in Guizhou Province, China, in
the silversmithing villages where this craft has been
practised for centuries.
Do you work directly with the silversmiths?
Yes. We work with a small group of silversmith families.
We know them, we visit them, and we pay them directly.
Are your pieces sustainable?
Each piece is made by hand, in small batches, from solid
fine silver. No mass production, no fast fashion, no
plastic in our packaging.
